Just because nothing is happening...
Week 4
Right, It’s been a busy week, let’s get straight into it…
Just because nothing is happening doesn’t mean nothings happening.
That’s virtually a riddle, but the core message is:
Just because you aren’t getting the immediate feedback you (and we as humans) crave to ensure we’re following the right path to achieve our goals, doesn’t mean this isn’t the right path.
Just because results aren’t flooding in, doesn’t mean that what your doing isn’t working, it simply means you’ve not given it enough time.
It’s so incredibly hard to keep pushing through this part, especially when it can go on for a while. It’s hard to stay focused, I get it, but look for smaller wins and adjust expectations.
When I started Murgs, my first ‘big’ goal was to sell £1000 a month, or 1 order a day back in 2017.
Now these months are days. A day will come where we do £100k months, then £1m months, and I know for a fact now, nothing can compare to the feeling of the big win of breaking the £1000 month.
So keep going. Just because nothing is happening doesn’t mean you’re on the wrong path. It’s a bit like this graph. Business has a ton of flat spots where you put in and don’t get out. Then the tide turns and it all makes sense.
These plateaus are great times for natural pauses to reset focus and motivation.

Additionally, looking at the red line that’s constantly griding away with no breaks, or rests in sight, it’s clear the importance of tactical pauses.
Capture the moment, it’s worth it
Also, take a moment to capture, photograph and video where you’re at and what you’re doing. Take LOTS of photos, regardless of how messy, crap or imperfect things are, because that’s what really makes these photos special. I have a handful of old photos from the start of Murgs, and I don’t have more because I felt I could do better, which I did, but wish I had more of the old days captured too.
Anyway, that’s all for now, it’s time to get back to work,
John
